I was looking forward to this, but, I think my expectations were way too high, because I was so disappointed.
Pedestrian is the only word I can use to describe Devil May Care. It just seemed like it went from one thing to another almost as an afterthought. I didn't really care for the characters, the plot, the so-called action. If I remember the blurb from the inside jacket, the publishers used the word "unbearable pace and tension"
Bollocks. It was unbearably slow, and there was more tension in The Clangers fer chrissake(whoops, showing me age there!).
Sorely disappointed. Maybe the next one I'll care about.
